Bundaran HI in Jakarta remained bustling with visitors this morning, despite the absence of Car Free Day (CFD) activities. Several residents shared their reasons for visiting the area even when the CFD was not in effect.
Reasons for Visiting Bundaran HI:
-
Enjoying the Last Day of Eid Al-Fitr Holiday: Lutfi, accompanied by his wife and children, visited Bundaran HI to make the most of the final day of the Eid Al-Fitr holiday. Despite the lack of CFD, they engaged in sports activities, including taking photos as a family. Lutfi humorously mentioned combining indulging in festive foods with exercise and capturing the pleasant weather at the landmark.
-
Family Breakfast and Sightseeing: Ridwan, hailing from Magetan, East Java, brought his family, including relatives visiting from a boarding school, to have breakfast together and take photos against the backdrop of Bundaran HI. Unaware of the cancellation of CFD for the day, Ridwan appreciated the opportunity for more candid and naturally beautiful photographs under the clear blue sky.
-
Cycling Outing: Rifki, from Tebet, South Jakarta, cycled to Bundaran HI with two friends to enjoy the excellent Jakarta air quality. Embracing cycling as a lifestyle, they welcomed the lighter traffic conditions of the day and the picturesque blue sky.
Despite the cancellation of Car Free Day, which was part of the measures by the Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) to optimize traffic control during the Eid holiday period, the vibrant atmosphere at Bundaran HI attracted individuals seizing the opportunity to unwind and capture moments with loved ones before returning to routine activities following the extended holiday break.
